Technical notes

Research Profile

NAD+ participates in over 500 characterized enzymatic reactions, most prominently as the hydride acceptor in glycolysis, the tricarboxylic acid cycle, and fatty-acid oxidation. Its non-redox consumption by NAD+-dependent signalling enzymes makes intracellular pool size a common experimental readout.

Because NAD+ is hygroscopic and light sensitive, lots are filled under controlled humidity and sealed with a foil-backed stopper. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry and purity by reverse-phase HPLC before the certificate is bound to the lot number printed on the vial.

Handling & reconstitution

Add diluent slowly down the vial wall and swirl — do not shake. Aliquot promptly and hold working stocks at 2–8 °C.

Lab assistant

AI Dosing & Reconstitution Assistant

Enter your vial, diluent, and target aliquot in any unit — mcg, mg, g, mL, µL, or U-100 syringe units. Every value is range-checked before generation, and the assistant returns concentration, draw volume, and a reconstitution workflow tailored to NAD+.

Requested concentration is 250 mg/mL, past the practical solubility ceiling (~200 mg/mL). Add more diluent.

Check this: Unusually high vial mass (500 mg). Most research vials are 100 mg or less — confirm the fill weight and unit.

Check this: This target yields 2,000 aliquots per vial — an unusually small draw. Reconstituted peptide stability typically limits use to a few weeks.

Check this: Required draw is only 0.1 syringe units (1 µL). Measurement error at this scale is high — use a lower concentration.

Draw volume in every unit: 0.001 mL · 1 µL · 0.1 U.

Target aliquot: 250 mcg · 0.25 mg · 0.0003 g.
